TurningPoint’s History
TurningPoint Family Church was started by a call of God to set up a church in the fast growing area of Cranbourne. It began in 1990 as an outreach from South Eastern Christian Centre, with Ps. Nancy Harkin as the Senior Minister. The church was them known as Cranbourne Christian Centre.
Ps. Phil and Norma Cayzer came to Cranbourne to become the senior ministers of Cranbourne Christian Centre on the 1st of February 1993.
On the 1st of September 1996, Cranbourne Christian Centre Inc. was formed by the amalgamation of Cranbourne Christian Centre and Cranbourne Christian Fellowship, which was an outreach to Cranbourne from Waverley Christian Fellowship (now CityLife).
The members of “Cranbourne Christian Fellowship Centre Inc” accepted the church’s trading name as “TurningPoint Family Church” on the 13th of June 2004.
For more information on the history and beliefs of the CRC, a book called “Flames of Revival”, compiled by Dudley Cooper is available to purchase through the CRC.
